A*Muse Home Page

This is a card I made for the A*Muse Addicts home page contest. We had to make a card showing "warmth". Yeah I know what you are thinking..."How does this show warmth". LOL Well, I have a drink and it makes me warm. So there's the warmth. LOL
I stamped AMuse Holiday Drinks stamp in black stazon and colored with my Prismapencils. I also used some stickles on the drink stirrers for a bit of bling. I ran my one and only nestie shape through my cuttlebug...love this and need to invest in a few more shapes after Christmas. I dotted the scallops with my SU! white gel pen. Added the poppy PTI white dotted ribbon and pop dotted the image piece onto the card. I love how this came together. I forgot to mention I was inspired by Rochelle for this card. *smile*

Holly Jolly Santa

I've been seeing quite a few versions of the giant candy bar Santa's over at SCS lately. This is my version and it is quick and easy. This would make a great teacher or co-worker gift. I found the giant Hershey candy bars at my local Frys food store for $1. Here are my paper dimensions:
Red 8 x 6 3/4
Black 8 x 1 1/4
Bottom White 8 x 1 1/4 tear one long side
Middle White 6 3/4 x 1 1/4 tear a tiny bit from each long side
For the black buttons I used my Creative Memories 3/4" circle punch.
The silver belt buckle was also made with a Creative Memories punch. I first punched the 1 1/4" punch (discard the 1 1/4" punched square or use for another project) then I went back and punched the 1 1/2" punch. Hope that makes sense.

These are so quick and easy peasy...you'll have some cute gifts in no time flat!

Yes Jennifer...I'll be taking orders from anyone. So get your order in now.

Gobble, Gobble

I found the most adorable turkey using punches at Elaine's Blog. As soon as I saw this turkey I knew I had to make one also! I had to substitute a small heart punch for the beak and the turkey's feet...but I think it came out pretty dang cute.
All the paper except the red and black are SU!...Chocolate Chip, Garden Green, Pumpkin Pie, Barely Banana. I used SU!'s Curvy Verses for the sentiment. The punched turkey is pop dotted to the front of the card. I bought the gorgeous chocolate satin ribbon from PTI (PaperTreyInk). I have totally fallen in love with their ribbon.

I wish you all a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving Card 2008

Why is it I always seem to have plenty of time for Christmas cards/projects then bam...time gets short?!?! That's how it seems with November...the month just flies by. Next week will be Thanksgiving and I just finished up my Thanksgiving cards. Now I just need to address the envies and get them in the mail this weekend.
This card went very quickly. Super easy!
I have one set of Nesties and I love this scalloped oval Nestie! The cornicopia from SU! Thankful Season fits perfectly on the largest oval. I stamped the image on PTI's white shimmer paper...gorgeous. Then embossed with SU! gold embossing powder. I rubbed the edges lightly with gold metallic rub on. Just enough to soften the white shimmer paper. I ran the gold cardstock through my Stylized Flowers Cuttlebug folder. Love how this looks.

Christmas Tag Tins

Well it's definitely that time of year to start working on Christmas gifts! And I have been busy making not one but five of these adorable Tag Tins. I think these would make terrific gifts for teachers. All the instructions and template are on PaperTreyInk ....Christmas Tag Tins...so be sure to check out Nichole's blog. These are super easy! I used a variety of papers and ribbons...SU!, PTI and patterned paper I had on hand from a LSS that used to be opened.

November 2008/2009 Calendar Pages

Here are the November Calendar Pages.
The bottom page is November 2008...the turkey is from an old SU! set. Sorry I don't remember which set. This was colored with my prismapencils and blended with gamsol. Quick and simple.
The top November page is 2009. This thanksgiving set came out last year and I believe it is also retired. The image is colored using chalks....love how this came out. Love the look of chalks!

I really need to get my butt in gear and make some Thanksgiving cards and Christmas gifts. I haven't done much of anything lately. I made a prototype for my Halloween card....but that's as far as I got. Didn't send even one Halloween card this year....I'm getting very bad.
