Another Birthday Card

This is what happens when there are twins in the family....have to sit down and make two (one male and one female) cards. Both of these birthday cards were mailed out today...just a bit late. :(
For my sisters card I was having trouble coming up with an idea. So I went and blog surfed and found that Taylor had posted her first sketch challenge. This card is my version of her challenge.
I like it and I hope my sister does too. I used one of my favorite SU! sets...Long-Time Friend that I received from the Image PIF thread over at SCS. Colored it in with my SU! watercolor crayons and added some ribbon from a ribbon share. Since my sister loves purple I used Bazzill purple and pink cardstock. The patterned paper is from My Minds Eye. The small snaps are from Making Memories...again a nice deep purple.
Love how this came together with the help of Taylor's challenge.

Male Birthday Card

My brother is having a birthday tomorrow and this is the card that will be going postal tomorrow...just a bit late. (sorry Joe!)
I love how this card turned out....just like the card I cased on SCS. *grin* Here's a link to scrapperaddicts' card. And here is my version
Like I said...a CASE. *grin*
Card stock is Bazzill and the patterned paper is My Minds Eye. I used the SU! scallop punch and Creative Memories circle cutting system. I used pop dots for dimension on the circle/scallop. The ribbon is from a ribbon share I joined a while back. Unfortunately I pulled the ribbon a bit too tight and tore the cs on the one side...but I'm just going to say I did that on purpose to give it a bit more dimension. *grin* This was a pretty easy card to make...just a lot of cutting with all the layers. Also used a MM ribbon slide. The stamp is from SU! Taggers Dozen. Need to use this set more.
I will post my sister Mary's birthday card tomorrow...She and Joe are twins.

Blog Candy

Well I'm finally getting my stamping/scrapbooking room somewhat organized. And as promised I have some Valentine/Love blog candy for you all. I have four sets of the acrylic stamps from "M" all love related...also two acrylic blocks.
Pink and red ribbon...a bit more than one yard of each. One pack of K&Company 6x6 Designer Papers...Hannah. And last but not least the Jan/Feb 2006 issue of Cards (The hottest trends in card making). This is an awesome book and I know there are a few SCS ladies cards.
Now you are probably asking yourself...What do I need to do for a chance to win this? Just leave a post to this thread and tell me what you do to make Valentine's Day special. This is open to all! That's it!
I will keep this open till next Sunday...January 20th. 6pm EST.

Christmas Thank You

I decided to make a Christmas thank you card for some special gifts
I received this year. Tried to tie in the same theme as my Christmas
cards...blue/white with the cuttlebug folder.
This is what I came
up with. I like it and I'm very happy with how it turned out. I ran the blue cardstock through my CB using the thank
you folder...love how the CB folders make such a great background for
my cards. I added a strip of patterned
paper (K&Company) that my DD gave to me for Christmas...she
actually gave me four packs of awesome patterned paper. *grin* Punched
the blue from my scalloped punch and added an Elzybells image I received as a RAK on SCS. (I just love the Elzybells and can't wait for their Valentine/Spring collection...ohhh my poor Visa. LOL) I colored Winter Song Elzybell with Prisma Pencils and also added Diamond Stickles
to the fur on her coat and the tree stump. Of course it doesn't show in
the picture but looks great in real life. *grin* Also dotted the
scallop with SU! white gel pen. The light blue/white dotted ribbon is from a ribbon share. Now all I have to do is write the thank yous...hopefully I'll get these in the mail by Monday.
Still working on the organization of my stamping/scrapbooking
room...this is a huge project! But as promised I will have blog candy
very soon. I'm hoping to have this posted late next week. You all need
some new things for Valentine cards right? Stay tuned!
