One More!

I decided to make one more gift for my grandsons teachers.
I fell in love with these altered coffee cups when I saw a few posted on SCS. Here's a few I drew inspiration from: Kisamari...just too cute!
Also here is one from her royal rubberness herself....Julie.
Some of you may not be able to see Julie's cup...it's in the Fan Club section of the SCS gallery.

I found these cups with lids at my local Fry's food store....ten in a pack for $2.59. Not too bad.
Filled them with Kudos bars and a local coffee house gift certificate. I think
they make a neat gift. This is probably one of my all time favorite
sets from SU!. There are so many possibilities when using Express Yourself. I water colored the image with my SU! water color crayons and an aqua painter...love this! All paper is Non SU! and the ribbon is from a ribbon share.
I highly suggest using sticky strip (red liner tape) on these cups. You will definitely need an adhesive that has a strong bond.

A One Layer Card

A lady that I know asked me to make some note cards for her mother for Mother's day.
I have always loved the one layer cards posted on SCS and I took inspiration from luvnailart's card.
This is my version of a very simple but I think elegant card.
I made a set of 12 note cards with a matching beaded pen. Unfortunately I forgot to take a pic of the set/pen before delivering. Ugggg
The lady loved them and kept saying her Mom will so love these cards! Made me feel good. *grin*

I took a scrap piece of card stock and punched my giga scalloped circle....used the "frame" for this card. Placed the frame where I wanted then just stippled SU! ballet blue for the background scallop. For the flower I used my chalk inks (azurite) and my mellow moss SU! marker for the stems.
Also used the chalk inks for the sentiment.
Simple and quick!

You still have a couple hours to enter my blog candy give away!
My grandson Matthew will pick a number tonight about 6pm my time....which is 9pm eastern time.
Good luck!

Taking It Easy Tonight

I'm being a bit of a baby tonight and taking it easy. *grin*
I was at a CM crop all day today. Finally finished up my Canada/New England Cruise album from September 2005 today .... WooHoo!!! Took me long enough! LOL
Thought it would be a good idea to finish up these pictures before I go to Ireland. I know I will have a boat load of pictures to crop from Ireland! Even bought a very pretty Irish green Creative Memories album today....I like to plan ahead. *smile*

I came accross this blog tonight that has all the retired SU! stamp sets listed with a picture link to SU! Be sure to check out MarniL Gallery from SCS.
She also updates on product availability .... this is an awesome Interactive Retiring Stamp Set List
Be sure to check this out!!!!

Cup Card

On SplitCoastStampers they have a weekly tutorial on
Wednesday. Last Wednesday the Technique Tutorial was making a Cup Card. Well this is my version of the cup card...pretty much a
CASE. But I will get better at showing my own style.
When I was in "M" the other week I picked up some of the $1 acrylic stamps and the sun on this
card is from one of these sets. I used SU! Summer Sun ink pad. I just stippled on chocolate chip for the land/beach and used ballet blue for the sky.
My first attempt at making this card I used some sand with dazzling
diamonds for the land/beach....but couldn't get the cup to adhere no
matter what I used. :(
But I sure looked glittery after trying that technique! *grin* No matter how neat I try to be while using dazzling diamonds I always manage getting just as much on me as I do my project.
LOL
Sorry...this isn't the best photo. There is a bit of reflection on the micro beads.

I made a few of these cards and they are ready to be mailed out as RAK'S....hope they go through the mail without too much damage.

Don't forget to check out my Blog Candy one post below! You have until next Monday ~ May 7th...late afternoon to leave a comment. I will have one of my grandsons pick a number.
