Grumpy

Just a quick blog update before I go in the pool for some exercise.
I made this card for one of my sisters who is going through a rough time right now. And she loved receiving my grumpabella! This bella (grumpabella) is probably my all time favorite of the Bellas....she's pretty much like me first thing in the morning. *grin* Uhhhh Trust me I'm definitely not pencil thin like the bellas. LOL I'm not a morning person. Takes me quite a while to wake up and become social. I'm better now than when I was growing up. LOL
The designer paper is My Minds Eye from the huge slab I bought from Costco. The solid green is Creative Memories. Snaps are Making Memories. I colored grumpy with SU! watercolor crayons...love, love, love these!

Very Hot!

It's been very hot here in Phoenix this past week....and this week isn't any cooler. Temps of 109 to 111 predicted all week long. The pool temp is now 90 degrees. Just about bath water. *grin* But I love going in the pool when it's this warm. Definitely don't have the cold tummy shock. LOL
When the temps outside are this hot the best place for me is inside stamping! *smile*
And that's what I've been doing after the grandsons leave each day. I just love how this bella card turned out...just what I had pictured in my mind. Don't ya just love it when it works that way? I have quite a few birthday's coming up this month and next so I figured I'd use some of my Bellas.
I stamped Cosmobella on SU! watercolor paper and colored her with SU! watercolor crayons...love this technique. I ran the My Minds Eye DP through my devine swirls Cuttlebug and did the same for the Bazzill solid color cardstock. The ribbon is from one of the many ribbon shares I joined.
The snaps are Making Memories set with my Crop-A-Dile. This handy dandy little tool is probably one of my better purchases. I can now set snaps/eyelets while DH is sleeping without waking him. *grin*

Graduation Gift

I have absolutely no idea where the time gets to anymore...can't
believe it's been a week since I posted on my blog. Here in Phoenix we
are definitely in the lazy hazy days of summer....temps running 108 to
110 all week! One nice benefit of having such warm temps ... the pool
temperature is 90 degrees! Yes, you heard me right...90! Hard to
believe but it actually is very refreshing. *grin*

I was asked to put together something for a graduation gift. So my first thought
was a decorated paint can filled with cards and chocolate. The grads
favorite color is green and I love how the paint can turned out.
Sorry these images are a bit dark...I hurried when taking the pics.
The second picture shows the note cards I included: Birthday/Thank You/Thinking of You made with SU!'s Simply Said. This set is probably one of my all time favorite sets from SU!
I also used SU!'s Happy Harmony. Patterned paper is from My Mind's Eye huge pack of papers from Costco...love this!!! Solid green is Creative Memories. Ribbon and Primas are from various ribbon shares.
I have finally found beaded pen instructions that I can follow.
Check out Rochelle's site. For
Rochelle's beaded pen instructions just email me... NancyL2648 AT gmail.com
Hope she loved it as much as I loved making and putting everything together.

I'm back

Well I'm back...did anyone miss me? Heheheee
Life is just getting busy. Every summer for the past four summers DH and I have been watching the grandsons while they are on summer break. This keeps us quite busy. The boys are 10 & 12 so it's not like we are watching little ones. I'm soooo glad we have a pool...those two love playing and cooling off every afternoon after lunch. And so do Grammy and Pa~Pa!

Plans for my Ireland trip are coming along....final payment will be coming up in one month. Yikes, that will be one hefty payment!
As I'm typing I'm listening to "Celtic Woman". Thanks Kathy!!!!
I'm starting to shop for new clothes for the trip...something I don't do often enough. I love shopping for stamps but clothes are another subject.
Think I need an intervention with Stacy and Clinton. *grin*

Here's a birthday card I made recently for someone who likes frogs. I really like the way this card turned out...and it's not a CASE! *grin* Does that mean I'm growing as a stamper/artist?!?!
