While blog surfing the other day I came accross this simple but elegant Cuttlebug card and just knew I had to make my own version. This card literally took me only 20 minutes to make from start to finish. That is a record for me...I'm a very slow card maker. *grin* The only stamping is the birthday sentiment on the inside. I used my Devine Swirl CB folder for the background and a small flower folder for the main image (sorry can't remember the name of the folder). I just used chalks to give the embossing some color and matted it on SU! Sage Shadow card stock. Punched the flower and matted with a scalloped punch background. Sooo easy peasy!

Baby Shower Candy Dishes
I made three of these baby shower candy dishes for my DDIL's upcoming baby shower. Would you believe I have never made a "cootie catcher" or a fortune teller before?!?! LOL These are very easy to make.
Click Here for the directions. For this project I used SU's 12x12 BerryBliss DSP...this paper worked well for this project because it's double sided. After I did all the folds it took me a bit to figure how to open the dish so it would actually look like a candy dish. *grin* The teddy bear stamp I used is from an old retired SU! set Soft and Sweet (Thanks Danyelle!) The little giraffe is from SU! Welcome, Little One. The hand print stamp is Hero Arts. The smaller punches are SU!...3/8th" and the small scallop. The large teddy bear is stamped in Close to Cocoa and punched with Marvy circle punch and backed with their scallop punch. The scallop edges have been dotted with SU!'s white gel pen. There are actually two teddy bear circles...attatched to the ribbon wrapped stick with SU! pop dots. So it's double sided.
These paper dishes will be filled with Dove chocolate eggs and JellyBelly jelly beans. Yum-O!

I Need Your Help
Some of you may remember that I had a link up to my niece Debbie's ebay store recently. She was selling hats to help pay medical bills. Two years ago her DH Ken had a liver transplant....I received an email from Debbie that Ken will probably need another liver transplant. She said "When his billiruben was 8 instead of 1 last week they tried to fix him but this week (yesterday) we found out it shot up to 21 which is deadly."
I need to ask a huge favor and ask if anyone has any box tops from General Mills products would you please send them onto me? My email is right under my picture and I will send you my home addy. I will send all General Mills box tops onto Debbie. Here is the email she has sent out to the family and she asked me to post on my blog.
"Hi Everyone,
After everything that Ken and I have been through with the liver transplant and now almost 2 years later it is rejecting. We are still paying for the last transplant now it looks like there will be another one soon. I don't mean to sound pathetic but if you have any box tops (from General Mill products) laying around and not using them for your local schools please send them to me. On ebay, my home away from home, if you have 500 box tops they auction for about $80. I know it's not a ton but it's something to help pay for this. If your not interested I totally understand."
We'd also appreciate some prayers.

Easter Card
Would you believe I actually have my Easter cards made?!?! They aren't signed or addressed yet...but they are finished! Yes!!!
I really don't have many Easter type sets so I pulled out a tried, true and well loved SU! set...The Gifts of Spring. I love this little chickie and it works perfectly for how I used this stamp. I used SU! Wintergreen DS paper and also Wild Wasabi. I really love the wild wasabi paper and ribbon.
Added a few eyelets with the crop-a-dile and I called it complete! Love this card and the colors.
Whoa...just noticed how crooked the ribbon is. Will have to fix that before mailing. *grin*
I will be posting the completed baby shower shoes in a few weeks! These are turning out just soooo adorable!!!
I'm also working on a family recipe book for my nephew and his new bride...they are getting married April 12th. And I will be flying to Baltimore for the wedding. I love attending out of state weddings...kind of like a family reunion.
Have a wonderful weekend!

Baby Shower Favors
My son and his wife are expecting their first child the beginning of June. *grin* There will be a baby shower on April 19th and I was asked if I would make the baby shower favors. I am thrilled to be asked to do this for my DDIL and little "Melanie" They are expecting a girl.
I ordered these baby shoe templates from creativecutsandmore and they arrived yesterday (Saturday).
So of course I've started working on them like a good grammy should. *grin*
Here's the deal...I'm not sure if these shoes look "cute" enough and I need your suggestions.
I'm doing 15 pink and 15 light purple. The pink shoe is stamped with SU! Mauve Mist and the light purple with SU! Eggplant Envy. The flowers on the eggplant envy have been stamped off once. I'm using SU! Welcome Little One set which is retired. I added pink and lavender ribbon along the sole edge and added pink/lavender flower brads for the button. I plan on adding pink crinkled filler then adding a small cello bag of pink M&M's tie in coordinating ribbon. Should I stamp the flower on the strap or leave it plain? Do you think this will be enough or should I add something more in the way of bling/decoration to the baby shoe? I'm sooo confused! LOL Any suggestions will be appreciated.
