Origami Gift Box

Just popping in for a few minutes to post this very easy Origami Gift Box that was featured on SCS.
This gift box is so easy to make you will wonder why you didn't think of it first. *grin* This is the perfect size box for that extra special gift this Christmas. I love, love how mine turned out!
The patterned paper is from My Minds Eye from the big slab I bought at Costco. I used my SU! tag punches for the silver embossed tag. Silver cord is SU! and the red ribbon I bought from TexasJodyLynn in one her many, many ribbon shares.

DH and I have been putting up Christmas all day and still aren't finished. *frown* I need to pack away my knick knacks in the dinning and living rooms so I can do Christmas in those rooms. DH is planning on putting up the lights outside tomorrow morning...but I think he will have to rethink those plans. We are suppose to get some much needed rain tomorrow and Saturday. I love rainy days and will probably be working on Christmas cards.

A Few Christmas Projects

I can't believe it's Wednesday already...the week is just flying by. This past weekend I decided to sit down in my stamping room and make some of the Christmas projects from SCS.

This first photo shows all four SCS Christmas projects I made this weekend....but I will just show one up close for today.

I just love how cute and easy this little treat box is to make! The treat box on SCS is larger. Mine is made from a 6"square and scored at 2" and 4"....turned and scored at those same dimensions. Looks like a checker board. Pop eyelets on each corner (8 total) ribbon slipped through the eyelets and tied in a bow. Cute and simple!
Be sure to check out SCS link for the complete instructions.

A few of you have requested I post more pictures of my recent trip to Ireland. I hear ya. As soon as I finish my Christmas cards I will work on getting my pics up on SnapFish. So start looking for Ireland pics hopefully sometime next week.

Thanks for stopping by!

Thanksgiving

I'd like to wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving!
This is my most favorite holiday and time of the year....no pressure holiday. Except that I will be cooking a 22 pound turkey dinner for 8. I have been making turkey dinner for the past 39 years...so it's not a big problem. I pretty much have it down to a routine. *grin*
My Thanksgiving cards went out in Monday's mail from the post office...they will all probably be delivered late. Not the post office fault...just my procrastination. I just can't seem to get into the "holiday" mood. I have the time to stamp but just don't seem to have the umph lately.
Hope this passes soon...I need to get started on my Christmas cards.
Well here is my Thanksgiving card for this year. Nothing spectacular...but I will post anyway.

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Ireland

I've been home from my Ireland trip just over a month now....so I thought I would post a few pics. This picture is of me in the limo on our way to JFK for our flight to Ireland. Here's a picture of my sister Kathy (katiepeg) and I out on a jaunting car ride in Killarney. It was an early morning and was quite chilly...but we loved it. This last pic of Ireland just takes my breath away....this is very typical scenery while driving through Ireland. And we saw a gazillion sheep! *grin*

Another Bella card

I actually did some stamping last week. My daughter asked me to
make a get well card for a reading teacher her son (my grandson) had
last year. I pulled out my stamped images ofBellas that I received from RAK's. This card was quick and easy .... I just used my circle on the feelabella then back that with some SU! DP that was punched with my scallop circle punch. Backed all that with a circle of Bazzill green...to bring in a different color. And of course I ran some bazzill
pink through the CB. Love that folder! Added a little bit of ribbon
from a ribbon share and plopped on some Making Memories flower brads.
I'm happy with this card and my grandson was happy also.
