A*Muse*A*Palooza and AP Sketches

You know something....you all could be having as much fun as I am over at A-Muse-A-Palozza. There is still time to register and have fun with all the great challenges. Oh did I forget to mention all the fantastic prizes that they are giving away?!?! Lots and lots of A Muse stamps and products! Now what are you all waiting for....go register. And don't forget to mention that I (Nancy Lucas) sent you! Enjoy!

I've decided to do more sketch challenges...I need all the help I can get with my cards. *grin*
Tisha over at AP (A*Muse*A*Palooza) had a couple sketch challenges posted and these are the cards I entered. The image Take Out Box I received in an image swap and colored with my PrismaPencils and blended with gamsol...punched with my circle punch. I ran a scrap piece of CS through my CB Swiss Dots folder then punched with the scallop punch. I've been wanting to make a card with the ribbon running through the slot punch...I've seen so many cards like this on SCS. Just received my SU! order and decided to break in my new slot punch on this card. Love, love how this looks! The patterned paper is from the huge slab from Costco. I believe the red CS is Bazzill. Ribbon is from a ribbon share. Simple but quick Valentine card. Yes, I know I'm either a bit late or quite early. *grin*

The second card is the next part of the sketch challenge. This time I used the 4 bar A Muse Kitchen collection note card as my base. I love the Lemonade Stand by A Muse and received a bunch from an image swap. Colored with PrismaPencils and again blended with gamsol. I added some grass with a green prismapencil. This is not showing up to well in the scan...sorry. Scallop oval is PTI Lemon Tart CS...which I thought was quite appropriate. *grin* Used my SU! white pen to dot the scallops. Ribbon is PTI...gorgeous! This was a fun/quick challenge.

Twinkle Time Challenge

I've been participating in A-Muse-A-Palooza Challenges over at A Muse and having a blast. I'm a bit behind in posting my AP cards here on my blog so bear with me. *grin* Here's the Twinkle Time Challenge from Taylor's blog. We were challenged to incorporate some "bling" on our cards. This image is Seattle Girl from A Muse...has got to be my all time favorite A Muse image! After stamping the image I punched it with my circle punch. I then backed that with PTI lemon tart CS that was punched with the scallop punch. Image is colored with PrismaPencils and blended with gamsol. The scallops were dotted with my yellow glaze pen for a bit of dimension. I added sparkling glitter diamond dots by Stampendous for the rain drops...that's the bling! I used an A Muse yellow kitchen note card for the base. Love how this card came together.

A Card for Miss Melanie

You know something....you all could be having as much fun as I am over at A-Muse-A-Palozza. There is still time to register and have fun with all the great challenges. Oh did I forget to mention all the fantastic prizes that they are giving away?!?! Lots and lots of A Muse stamps and products! Now what are you all waiting for....go register. First I'd like to thank you all for the congrats on my new granddaughter Melanie. *smile* She is absolutely adorable. And yes I am definitely the proud grandmother of three beautiful grandchildren now! *smile* That's the frosting on the cake of life.

I finished up this card to send to my son and his wife to congratulate them on the birth of their daughter. This is a total CASE of StickUps card over at SCS. Isn't this just the cutest baby card ever?!?! When I saw it I knew I would be making one eventually. I love how this card came together! I did not have the SU! set By Ones and By Twos. The ducks and the onsie are a RAK (random act of kindness) from a sweet lady at SCS (Thank You!!!). These are colored with PrismaPencils and blended with gamsol. Yellow/White paper are PTI. Pink is SU! Ribbon is from one of the many ribbon shares I joined. And the little circle w/heart I picked up in the dollar spot at Target. Love how this card resembles a decorated baby wall!

Beate's Sketch Challenge

I've been doing some sketch challenges lately to get myself motivated and I cam across Beate's blog.
This was the sketch challenge from last weekend...>>>Here and this is the card I made. I bought this hydrangea stamp at Michaels quite some time ago and totally forgot I had it...till I went searching through my misc. box of stamps. I'm sure I'm not the only one who purchases something and forgets. *grin* Solid color card stock is Bazzill. The base CS is a very deep purple that I ran through my CuttleBug Devine Swirls. Layed a scrap of designer paper from the huge slab I bought from Costco that I pierced along the edges. The ribbon doesn't show too well...it's really more of a sage green. Not like the length of muddy green that is showing. Colored the imaged with watercolor crayons and layered on a scalloped square of purple. I edged the white with SU! Old Olive. Added three SU! jewel brads. Not one of my best cards...but I'm pleased.

Nichole's Clearly Creative Challenge

I spotted this challenge awhile ago and knew eventually I would make a card using this technique. I won't go into the details here but be sure to check out Nichole's Blog for all the instructions for this different and unique card. I used scraps from the SU! hostess 6x6 designer paper. SU! Little Birdie Told Me set stamped on PTI white and colored with my SU! watercolor crayons. That was backed on a scrap of Garden Green. Punched the corners with the ticket punch and added light yellow eyelets. The Lemon Tart CS and the ribbon is from Papertreyink. Love, love their Lemon Tart. To me it is the perfect yellow. This was a fun card to make and something I never ever would have thought of on my own. And that is why Nichole owns her own stamp company. *grin*
