St. Patrick's Day Card

This card is from a few years ago that I made and sent to family. I will come back in tomorrow (Wednesday) and update this post with the deets.

WhiteShamrock

Wellll guess Wednesday came and went. *grin* Life...what can I say.
Here is this years version of the above St. Patrick's Day card. This card looks so much better IRL.
I used a silver sparkle paper for the background...so it's much more sparkly than it's showing here. The background stamp is SU! Script (Irish Blessing) that I purchased many years ago. I stamped a shamrock with SU! Glorious Green that was stamped off twice...just wanted a very faint shamrock. I love how this background looks! I stamped Paint Prints "vase" in SU! basic black and used craft white ink for the little flower...tried to mimic a shamrock. I used the SU! ticket punch and added small snaps to finish off the card. I thought about adding some ribbon to the "vase" but since these cards have to be mailed decided against the ribbon. Just think...family will get their cards on time! LOL

Now I will probably start making my Easter cards. Just received my SU! order in today's mail...yeah!!!
I have quite a few projects to finish in the next two months. Whew...gonna be busy!

A Name Thing

This is just something I found on the net and thought was interesting. Some things are right on...but others are way off. *grin*

Valentine Card

Well I finally finished up my Valentine cards for this year...definitely late! *grin* I'm very pleased how this cute card turned out. I used my new Happy Heart Day set from SU!...this set is sooo adorable! I stamped the image on SU! watercolor paper and colored the elephant and all with SU! watercolor crayons. Quick, quick, quick and easy peasy! Snapped the corners with the SU! ticket punch... added two small red heart eyelets and wove some SU! red gingham ribbon through the eyelets. This card was quick and easy and I love how it turned out.
Hope you all have a wonderfully romantic Valentine's Day!

Valentine Treats

Well I'm not like most bloggers who have holiday projects finished and up on their blogs weeks ahead of time. Guess you could call me the last minute holiday project blogger. *grin*
I made these valentine treats for my one grandson to hand out on Thursday. They are easy to make...but lots and lots of steps...which seemed to take me forever!
There are 32 treats going to school with him on Thursday...31 students plus one for his teacher. I found this treat holder from another blog link...but unfortunately I can't seem to find the ladies blog. If anyone recognizes this treat holder...please let me know and I will be more than happy to give credit. I found the blog that has not only the directions...but Dawn has a video tutorial! Dawns Stamping Thoughts Candy Holder Go check out Dawn's blog...whoohoo!!!
The stamp is from SU!'s Happy Heart Day which I colored in with my prisma pencils and gamsol. The little flower on the heart is colored with an embossing gel pen. I also used SU!'s white gel pen on the scalloped circle. The circle is attached to the holder with pop dots. But the really neat thing is that these are closed using the ribbon...the bottom flap is just tucked under the ribbon. Sooo easy! These little holders hold one fun size M&M package. Would you believe I did not eat even eat one package? Amazing...especially for me. *grin*
Now I just need to make some Valentine cards and get those mailed by Tuesday. Why do I procrastinate?!?!

Get Well Wish

When it rains it pours.
My sister recently was admitted to the hospital (she is home now). She's been battling non-Hodgkin's lymphoma for the past 7 years and is again going through chemo. She will be having a sibling stem cell transplant sometime in March....but in the mean time is very susceptible to everything and anything that comes along. I made this get well card for my sister Bunny. I love how it came together. I used Make A Wish wishing well from GinaKDesigns. This is such a great set! I colored the image with Su! watercolor crayons. Matted it on SU! Chocolate Chip CS and matted that on SU! Au Chocolate designer series paper. Added some eyelets and ribbon from a ribbon share. When the ribbon is pulled out comes the saying "wishing you well". Sorry...I forgot to get a scan of that.

The second card is very similar...except I put the saying on the bottom right corner. This card is for my doctor. I have been going to him since 1981...so we have gotten to know each other.
He has recently been diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. I will probably make a matching decorated nugget tin filled with hershey nuggets to go with his card. Say some prayers for these special people.
