Melanie's Class Halloween Treats

I've been busy making my granddaughter some Halloween treats for her preschool class.

These are your basic matchbook that has been enlarged to hold a snack size M&M's. You could eliminate the ribbon on the bottom but since I'll be mailing these to another state I wanted to make sure they stayed together. There are 30 Halloween treats to be mailed.

The wrapper’s measurements are:

9 1/4” x 3” Orange card stock
scored at: 4”, 4 1/4” and 8 1/2”

After cutting the card stock and scoring I ran the matchbook (that was folded so it would fit) through the spider web cuttlebug folder. The stamp that I used is from a very old SU! set...sorry can't remember which set. I used SU! scalloped circle punch and the corresponding circle punch for the spider image. I colored the spider's eyes with an orange gel pen. Also used SU!'s white gel pen on the scalloped circle.
I love how it turned out and I hope Melanie enjoys handing these treats out to her preschool friends.

Post-It Stands

A few more post-it stands for my craft shows. Stamp set is from papertreyink and the designer paper is from Michael's (sorry can't remember which paper company). Acrylic stands I found at WallyWorld for just under one dollar. Ribbon used in my projects is from a large ribbon order from JKM ribbons. These stands are very easy to do and I hope they are a good seller.

Teacher Gifts

I have a few teacher gifts today...all have been inspired/CASED from Kerry. When I'm stuck for craft show ideas I visit her blog...she has the best items.
I'm in the midst of working on craft show items. Actually my first one is tomorrow, Saturday October 8th., and of course I'm still working on a few items. lol I will be doing a total of 7 shows this holiday season. I have shows the last three Saturday's in November and the first three Saturday's in December. I will be quite busy.

I just love this stamp set from PaperTreyInk...perfect for teacher gifts.

Happy Birthday WMS

One of my all time favorite stamp companies is turning two on the 21st of May and Claire is having a party! We are having a tea party and I am bringing a cake slice.
Now I had planned on making a full cake and I do have all the pieces cut and scored...but I just ran out of time. This cake template is just too cute and very easy to assemble.
I will be going out of town for a long weekend and will be back late Tuesday afternoon. I promise to take better pics and post the details on what products I used. But in the mean time please stop by WMS and see what everyone has made for Claire's birthday tea party.

Valentine Day Card

Hi to whoever still reads my blog...*grin*
I do know that when a blogger doesn't post that often (like myself) people tend not to stop by as often. I'm just not a daily or even a weekly blogger. Wish I was but I know myself...it's just not going to happen.
I did sign up for two craft shows in April...the first and the last Saturday of the month.
I have been busy making projects and cards to sell and hopefully I will be posting those in a timely manner.
This is the Valentine Day card I sent out to my grandchildren this year.

I'm very happy with how this card came together. A bit different for me.
I found the little brown envelope at Michaels and wanted to use it for a Valentine card. I punched hearts from solid and patterened valentine paper and put them in the envie...cute!
The base of the card is craft cardstock from PTI. I then layered a nice solid red with PTI valentine paper. For an added touch I also used PTI's natural twine.

I do have one more Valentine Day project to post that I made for the grandson's but I need to check on the corresponding link to give credit.

Valentine's Day Items

I'm not even going to give an excuse as to why these items are so late being posted....call it laziness or just life on my part.

These cute little treat holders were for my 2 1/2 year old granddaughter to give to her daycare friends. They hold a fruit snack (Dora)
So easy and so cute!
I found the idea from Dawn. Love her blog ....she is a great inspiration.
The stamp set is an older one from StampingUp. It is actually my go to set for children Valentine's. The sentiment is from Amuse stamps. Paper is from my local Paper Plus paper supply store and I buy it by the ream.
I filled in the butterfly with a gel embossing pen.

I do have a few more Valentine post, hopefully will post those tomorrow.

CASEing Sandie

Claire over at Waltzingmouse Stamps challenged us to CASE a card/project from her three days of Spellbinders fun.
I picked Sandie to CASE. Here is Sandie's card which I just love. And I really hope Sandie doesn't mind that I posted her card here.

Now I really, really stretched this CASE but the basic design is definitely there.
This is my version:

This cute little tea bag baggie is a freebie download that Claire so generously shares.

Christmas Card 2010

This is this years Christmas card that was sent out to family and friends.

The tree is from a very special set from WMS called Nutcracker Sweet. I silver embossed the image to a Spellbinders Label Die and adhered to the base card with popdots. I ran 3/4 of the base card through my snowflake embossing folder then added two score lines with my scorpal. The Merry Christmas sentiment is also from WMS.
A very simple but elegant Christmas card.

Enjoy!

Ghiradelli Candy Holder

These little Ghiradelli holders are so cute and everyone just loves them. Word of warning here...they are a bit time consuming to make but I always make at least a dozen at a time one step at a time. Just put some music on and they will be finished in no time at all.
I know the tutorial says to use sticky strip but I found it doesn't hold that well for this project...I always use Scotch Quick Dry Adhesive. This can be found at Michaels. I also use clips to hold it together till the glue drys.

I normally use a tan/beige cardstock but this was for a special order and the lady wanted red/green holders.
There is a great tutorial over at SCS and these are the directions that I used.
The round mouse stamp is from PaperTreyInk....love this company! I also added a little bling to the mousey nose.

Enjoy!

Snowmen Hershey Bar Wrappers

Another great item to make for a craft show are these Snowmen Hershey Bars....super quick and easy. Also a very good seller.

Kerry has a great video tutorial on how to make these cuties. She has the best ideas for craft show and definitely my "go to" blog when stuck for a craft idea.
I have my last craft show tomorrow ...Sunday the 19th and have been very busy replenishing my best sellers. I will be posting my (not really my idea) Ghiradelli holders tomorrow.
Enjoy!

Cocoa Card

Talk about a simple but cute gift or stocking stuffer!
This little card is just too cute and so easy to make up.

I adhered a packet of cocoa mix to the inside with a glue dot. The chocolate candy stick is held in place on the front of the card with just the ribbon. The patterned paper is from PTI's Christmas pack and the sentiments are also from PTI. This card would be best for a bubble mailer or inserted in someone special Christmas stocking.
I was inspired by Wendy at Moonlightstamper for this Cocoa card.
Enjoy!

I'm still here!

I'm still around in Blog land but just haven't been stamping/posting lately.
I've been busy this past month making items for a few crafts shows. These M&M sticks seem to be the latest crafty item and they do sell quite well.

I just bought some 1x8 inch bags (ultra clear lip tape) at www.gtbags.com added holiday M&M's and just added a circular topper. Now how simple and cute is that?
The nutcracker stamp is from www.waltzingmousestamps.com

Enjoy!

Another Tote W/Cards

This is such an easy tote/card pattern...you can make a full set of cards (8) and the tote in less than two hours. If it took me slightly less than two hours to make I'm sure some/most stampers can make this cute gift idea in about an hour. That is how easy it is to put together.

I used SU! Au Chocolat designer paper (retired) and a nice sage green (Bazzill???)...ribbon and button are PTI. The sentiment stamp is SU!

If you would like the pattern for this project just email me and I will be more than happy to send you the PDF file. Just wanted to add that this is not my pattern...I found it at SplitCoastStampers. Sorry but I do not remember who the owner of this pattern is or I would most definitely give credit.

This was another donation for a fundraiser to help the wife/children of a young man who lost his battle with lymphoma.

Make sure you hug your family today and tell them how much they mean to you all....you just never know what tomorrow brings.

Card Tote

Today I am posting the first of two OSW (One Sheet Wonder) cards plus a tote that I have made recently for different fund raisers.
This first one is for a raffle for my grandson's band boosters.

The tote holds at least eight cards...love this! This was soooo easy to cut and assemble. If you would like the pattern/directions please email me...since I do not know how to add a pdf file to this post. This makes a very nice gift and can be made up in no time at all.
The CS is PTI and the patterned paper is a retired SU!. Stamp set is also from SU!...but I forget the name of the set.

Easter Card 2010

I have my family Easter card to share with you all today....these went out a bit late. :(
This card is my design....yeah! *grin*
But I was inspired by Mish on making some egg dodads. Aren't these just too cute?
Paper, cardstock, buttons and ribbon are all PTI.

Have a wonderful Easter Sunday.

What's Up Doc?

Carrots with the leafy greens still attached remind me of Bugs Bunny. *grin*
And this little carrot is just too cute not to make a bunch and that's just what I did. These will be perfect for a gift for everyone at Easter dinner. Or to give out at your kids school.
Now you all know me by now and know that 99.99999% of my items are lovingly copied from someone else. Just go check out this great blog...Inkin'up the Dogs for all the directions. These are really easy! I don't have a BigShot so I just used my CuttleBug and scalloped circle/oval Nesties.
Paper is PTI and SU! Enjoy!

A Little Bit Of Easter

I made these quick and very easy Easter Baskets. They are small but I love that I'm able to give a little something to some very special boys. *grin*

Wish I knew how to add a pdf file to this post...if anyone reading does know how please email me with the instructions.
If you would like the instructions email me.
I used PTI paper and two gold brads. The basket is filled with Jelly Belly jelly beans and Nestle eggs...can we say YUM. *grin*

For a little princess

I have a little princess who lives in another state than her Grammy and Pa~Pa so I try to send packages around the holidays. Ohhh how I miss her and would love to see her again soon.
This is the Easter Basket that I mailed out to Melanie the other day.
I needed something that wouldn't get crushed in the priority shipping box...I just added a few Jelly Belly jelly beans and some Nestle eggs. Paper and ribbon is PapertreyInk and the little chick stamp is AMuse.
Here's a link to the original tin .... Niki did a much better job than I did...but I like mine also.

WaltzingMouse Stamps Blog Hop

Wow...can't believe I actually finished this card! This is my very first blog hop for WM...actually my one and only blog hop for any stamp company. *grin*
Claire was so kind to post a download of WM images for those of us who haven't ordered her stamps as of yet. Thank you, Claire!
I did purchase her Celtic Lunettes patterned digi paper and I love the ease of ordering and printing.

I decided to color the shamrock image with my SU! watercolor crayons...love these! The Irish hankie that the shamrocks are wrapped was colored in a light cream to kinda replicate Irish linen. Not sure how well it shows. I chalked the edge of the oval that was cut/embossed with my Cuttlebug for just a bit of dimension.
The Irish Blessings was printed on vellum and added to the card with two gold brads. The green ribbon is PTI.
I'm quite please with how this card turned out.
